About Me
I have been playing harp since 1979, both as a soloist in the style of Zapotiltic, Jalisco and in mariachi. My harp and I have travelled throughout California and the Southwest United States as well as Mexico, Tahiti, the Marquesas Islands, New Zealand, England and Spain. My two main teachers were Arturo Mendoza, former harpist with the Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán and his father Jose Mendoza, both of Zapotiltic. I've given workshops at festivals in Mexico City, Guadalajara, California, Arizona and New Mexico.
I am available for concerts, private parties, weddings and any type of festive occasion.
